About

I’m a member of The Language Hackers, a guild on Habitica, which I still refer to as HabitRPG. I needed a little more space to write out my monthly plans and monthly reviews, as I tend to be a bit wordy, so I started a blog to help keep my thoughts organized.

I’m learning Modern Hebrew to win a bet regarding learning styles and learning resources (and even if I lose, I’ll still say I won) and the grand pay-off is bragging rights and a sense of moral superiority. I’ve done worse things for better reasons, but little of what I do makes sense.

I’ll be putting up a long list of free or paid resources that I’ve tried, with reviews, for anyone else who is looking on how to get a start in Hebrew studies, or, really, any language studies. Most of what you use for one, you can use for another.

Me personally? Female, 30s, I live in the US, and I drink coffee while knitting. My love of languages comes from a childhood of only being allowed to watch PBS programming. Nova used to do some lovely documentaries on different cultures, and I fell in love with languages then.
